Research Fellow, Data Collector, Coordinator

The University of Jaffna invites applications from qualified candidates for temporary positions under the DIGIPATHS Study (Digitally Integrated Care Pathways for Multiple Long-Term Conditions Management in Primary Care, Sri Lanka), conducted in collaboration with the University of Birmingham and funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), UK.

Available Positions & Monthly Salaries

• 1. Temporary Research Fellow for Participatory Action Research (02 Posts)

  • Salary: LKR 80,000/- per month

  • Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Allied Health Sciences, Science, Psychology, Sociology, or a related discipline from a UGC-recognized university. Prior experience in community-based health research projects or public health programs is preferred.

  • Key Duties: Plan and implement participatory research at the community level, engage with stakeholders, conduct surveys, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and co-design workshops.

• 2. Temporary Research Fellow for Policy Development (01 Post)

  • Salary: LKR 80,000/- per month

  • Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Allied Health Sciences, Sociology, or a related field from a UGC-approved university. Postgraduate qualification in health research, epidemiology, or Sociology is an advantage.

  • Key Duties: Support digital health execution, collaborate with policymakers, conduct literature reviews, develop research protocols, and analyze health information.

• 3. Temporary Data Governance Officer (01 Post)

  • Salary: LKR 80,000/- per month

  • Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, Medical Statistics, Health Informatics, or ICT from a UGC-recognized university. Experience in digital health projects or data management is preferred.

  • Key Duties: Develop data governance frameworks, ensure data quality and integrity, coordinate data management, and enforce data protection and privacy compliance.

• 4. Temporary Coordinator for Capacity Development (01 Post)

  • Salary: LKR 70,000/- per month

  • Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, Management, Commerce, or Business Administration from a UGC-recognized university. Experience in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) coordination is an advantage.

  • Key Duties: Implement operational capacity development plans, coordinate CPD calendars, manage academic meetings, and support PGD/PhD program implementation.

• 5. Temporary Coordinator for Logistics (01 Post)

  • Salary: LKR 70,000/- per month

  • Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Management, Commerce, or Business Administration from a UGC-approved university. Experience in project coordination and logistics management is preferred.

  • Key Duties: Coordinate logistical arrangements for project activities, manage procurement and inventory, liaise with vendors, and monitor logistics budgets.

• 6. Temporary Data Collectors for Quantitative Study (04 Posts)

  • Salary: LKR 50,000/- per month

  • Requirements: Pass in all subjects at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) examination at one sitting. Prior research data collection experience in health-related projects is preferred.

  • Key Duties: Accurately enter participant demographic and clinical data into electronic health record (EHR) systems, review source documents, and maintain strict data confidentiality.

General Conditions & Employment Terms

• Basis of Appointment: Full-time for one year, renewable annually based on performance and project requirements.

• Age Limit: Between 25 and 45 years.

• Citizenship: Must be citizens of Sri Lanka.

• Provident Funds: Employee contributes 8% to EPF; employer contributes 12% to EPF and 3% to ETF.
