The Rural Health Research Centre, Kataragama, operating under the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Temporary Research Assistant. This role involves coordinating the Community Physiotherapy Clinic at the centre as well as supporting overall research and center activities.
Position Summary
Role: Temporary Research Assistant
Location: Rural Health Research Centre, Kataragama, Sri Lanka
Institution: Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo
Engagement Type: Contract Basis (Initially for 12 months, renewable for another 12 months based on performance and need)

Salary Scale: U-AC 2 – Basic Salary of Rs. 85,305/- p.m. plus Cost of Living Allowance, EPF, and ETF.
Key Responsibilities & Role Details
Coordinate the Community Physiotherapy Clinic at the Rural Health Research Centre, Kataragama.
Coordinate research projects, administrative duties, and operational activities of the centre.
Liaise and build positive interpersonal relationships with government officials and stakeholders.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Qualification: Degree obtained from a recognized University.
Relocation / Availability: Ability to work and reside in the Kataragama area.
Experience: At least two years of similar experience; past experience in community-based activities is an added advantage.
Language Proficiency: Good communication skills in the English language (both written and verbal).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in IT including MS Office, Internet, email, and other online tools.
