1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Post a Job form: job details (title, company, salary, description, apply details) and your contact email and optional phone number. Your contact details are visible only to our admin and are not published on the website.
• Contact form: your name, email address and message. These are sent to our email inbox. We do not store contact form messages in our website database.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data through Google Analytics, such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
• Job view counts: when you open a job, we count the view. We use your browser's local storage to avoid counting the same job more than once a day. This is not linked to your identity.
• Cookies and similar technologies used by Google AdSense and Google Analytics (see below).

CV Builder

The CV Builder works in your browser. The details you type into it are used to build your CV on your device and are not sent to or stored on our servers.

2. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners use cookies to remember preferences, understand how the site is used and show advertising.

3. Google AdSense and advertising

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Google Analytics collects information such as IP address, browser and pages visited. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. How we use your information

• To review, publish and manage job posts you submit.
• To contact you about your job post, or to reply to your message.
• To operate, secure and improve the website, and to prevent spam and abuse.
• To show advertising that helps fund the site.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Sharing of information

We share information only with:

• Service providers that help us run the site, such as our database and hosting providers (for example Supabase) and email delivery.
• Google for analytics and advertising, as described above.
• Authorities where required by law.

Details of a job (but not your private contact details) are shown publicly once the post is approved. Please do not put information in the job description that you do not want to be public.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Job posts stay on the site until they are removed. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request.

8. Your rights and deleting your data

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, for example your contact details from a job submission, or to remove a job post. Email us at lkjobslanka@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify that the request comes from you.

9. Third-party links

Jobs, news and courses often link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. See our Disclaimer.

10. Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
