The Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies (LKIIRSS) is a multidisciplinary research institute dedicated to studying Sri Lanka's strategic interests—including defence, national security, law, economics, cultural relations, agriculture, environment, and international relations.

• Salary Scale: Rs. 81,675/- (Basic Salary) + Rs. 17,800/- (Cost of Living Allowance) from 01.01.2026 to 31.12.2026; increasing to Rs. 91,650/- + Rs. 17,800/- (Cost of Living Allowance) effective from 01.01.2027.

Scope of Responsibilities

• Contributing to LKIIRSS's research output through publications and presentations aligned with the institute's research priorities.

• Providing timely policy recommendations on contemporary issues.

• Representing LKIIRSS at external events.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must fulfill one of the following criteria:

• A Special Degree in Business Management, Public Administration, Public Policy, Commerce, Economics, Law, International Relations & Strategic Studies, or any other relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission.

• OR a General Degree in a relevant field recognized by the UGC, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field.

• OR Associate Membership of a recognized professional chartered institution in a relevant field.

• Age Limit: Must be between 22 and 45 years of age.
