Orysys Limited is seeking a Tech Lead - Machine Learning to support the bank’s existing and new initiatives related to AI & Data Science (DS). The ideal candidate will lead ML system design and architecture, mentor the ML team, oversee model development and deployment, and maintain high engineering standards.

Position Summary

  • Role: Tech Lead - Machine Learning (ML)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ML System Design & Architecture: Design scalable, production-ready ML systems aligned with business goals and technical standards.

  • Mentor & Guide the ML Team: Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to ML engineers and data scientists.

  • Oversee Model Development & Deployment: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of ML models, from data preprocessing and training to evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

  • Maintain High Engineering Standards: Ensure best practices in coding, testing, documentation, version control, and reproducibility of ML experiments and pipelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 6+ years of work experience in a hands-on ML-related role. Previous roles as Tech Lead – ML, Senior Tech Lead – ML, or similar technical lead roles.

  • Domain Experience: Experience in the finance domain is an added advantage.

  • Project Experience: Experience in large-scale applications, legacy system support, ML model monitoring and governance, and IT modernization within an enterprise environment.

Technical Skills

  • Programming: Python

  • ML/AI Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn

  • MLOps: MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Airflow

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, internal DC platform

  • DevOps/Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform

  • Governance: Model cards, XAI tools, differential privacy

  • Data Engineering: Spark, Kafka, SQL, BigQuery, Snowflake

  • AI & DS Technical Architect Skills

Soft Skills, Organizational Fit & Leadership

  • Ability to fit into the Combank organization & IT culture.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Project Management: Experience in senior engineering roles, managing timelines, estimating tasks, and stakeholder communication.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business/product stakeholders, translating requirements into technical solutions.
