Assistant Lecturer, Demonstrator

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the posts of Temporary Assistant Lecturer and Temporary Demonstrator in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Ruhuna.

Positions & Qualifications

1. Department of Geography

• Post: Temporary Assistant Lecturer in Geography

• Qualifications: BA Hons Degree in Geography from a recognized university with a First Class or Second Class (Upper Division).

2. Department of Information Technology

• Post: Temporary Demonstrator

• Qualifications:

  • BSc (Special) Degree in Computer Science / BCS (Special) Degree; OR

  • Degree / BCS (General) Degree in Information Technology; OR

  • BSc (General) Degree with Computer Science as a subject; OR

  • Other equivalent degree related to Computer Science / Information Technology accepted by the university.

3. Department of Sociology

• Post: Temporary Assistant Lecturer in Sociology

• Qualifications:

  • BA Hons Degree in Sociology from a recognized university with a First Class or Second Class (Upper Division).

  • Knowledge and skills in computer applications.

  • Ability to work in English.

  • (Postgraduate qualifications and prior teaching experience at the university level will be an added advantage).
