Assistant Engineers / Technical Officers - Telecom Projects

Luminex PLC is an ISO 9001:2015 certified publicly listed company with over four decades of experience in Telecommunication, Electrical, and Civil Engineering projects across Sri Lanka. We urgently require energetic Assistant Engineers / Technical Officers for our regional Telecom Project Office at Maharagama.

Position Summary

• Role: Assistant Engineers / Technical Officers - Telecom Projects

• Company: Luminex PLC

• Location: Regional Telecom Project Office, Maharagama, Sri Lanka

• Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise fibre cable laying (aerial, underground, duct, and pole routes) at sites.

• Coordinate splicing, termination, and testing activities.

• Interpret project drawings, specifications, and variations for execution.

• Ensure all installations strictly follow engineering drawings and Bill of Quantities (BOQs).

• Monitor subcontractors and field technicians on-site.

• Conduct regular site inspections and track project progress.

• Execute project plans, monitor progress, and liaise with clients for successful project completion and testing.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• Professional qualification from a recognised institution related to Telecommunication.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a similar capacity within the Telecommunication service field, specifically related to:

  • Fibre Network Development (FTTH / OSP)

  • Site management & monitoring

  • Workforce coordination

Skills & Competencies

• Computer literacy (MS Office, network tools, etc.).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
