The Mahiyangana Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd invites applications from qualified external candidates to fill several vacant positions within the cooperative society.

Summary of Open Positions & Salary Scales

Position Requirements & Qualifications

1. Watcher (PL1-2026)

• Passed G.C.E. (O/L) examination in 02 subjects in not more than two sittings.

2. Field Officer (OL 2-2026)

• Passed G.C.E. (O/L) in 06 subjects in a single sitting with credit passes for Mathematics, Sinhala/Tamil Language, and 03 other subjects.

• AND Passed G.C.E. (A/L) in 03 subjects in a single sitting, OR hold a Cooperative Development Advanced Certificate / Cooperative Management Diploma.

• Valid motorcycle driving license and at least 01 year of experience in a relevant field at a recognized bank, financial, or commercial institute.

• Note: Priority will be given to male candidates for the Field Officer post.

3. Computer Data Operator (OL 1-2026)

• Passed G.C.E. (O/L) in 06 subjects in not more than two sittings with credit passes for Mathematics, Sinhala/Tamil Language, and 04 subjects in total.

• AND G.C.E. (A/L) in 03 subjects in a single sitting, OR hold a Cooperative Development Advanced Certificate / Cooperative Management Diploma.

• Successfully completed a computer course of not less than 06 months from a recognized institute.

4. Transport Officer (OL 2-2026)

• Passed G.C.E. (O/L) in 06 subjects in a single sitting with credit passes for Mathematics, Sinhala/Tamil Language, and 03 subjects in total.

• AND G.C.E. (A/L) in 03 subjects in a single sitting, OR hold relevant cooperative diplomas.

• Heavy vehicle driving license AND an NVQ Level 4 (or higher) certificate in Motor Mechanics from a recognized institute, OR at least 01 year of experience in motor mechanics at a recognized commercial/industrial institute.

5. General Manager (SM2-2026)

• Route 01: A degree from a UGC-recognized university in Business Management, Commerce, Economics, or Accountancy, AND a 6-month ICT course certificate, AND at least 01 year of management-level experience in a recognized commercial/industrial institute.

• Route 02: A degree in any discipline from a UGC-recognized university, AND a Diploma in Business Management (minimum 1 year), AND a 6-month ICT course certificate, AND at least 02 years of management-level experience.
