The University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka invites applications from suitably qualified citizens for the following non-academic positions.

Available Positions & Qualifications

1. Driver (Grade III)

  • Qualifications:

    • G.C.E. (O/L) examination passed in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes in not more than two sittings.

    • Valid heavy vehicle driving license issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic along with a minimum of three (03) years of driving experience after obtaining the license.

  • Age Limit: Between 18 and 45 years.

  • Salary Scale: U-PL 3 (III) – Rs. 48,005 - 16 x 490 - 55,845/- p.m. (Plus cost of living and other approved allowances).

  • Selection Method: Through a trade test and a structured interview.

2. Mason (Grade III)

  • Qualifications:

    • National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4 or above in the relevant field issued by a technical/vocational training institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

  • Age Limit: Between 18 and 45 years.

  • Salary Scale: U-PL 3 (III) – Rs. 48,005 - 16 x 490 - 55,845/- p.m. (Plus cost of living and other approved allowances).

  • Selection Method: Through a trade test and a structured interview.

3. Tractor Operator (Grade III)

  • Qualifications:

    • G.C.E. (O/L) examination passed in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes in not more than two sittings, AND NVQ Level 2 or 3 proficiency certificate in the relevant field; OR

    • G.C.E. (O/L) qualification as above with one (01) year of industry skill experience in the relevant field.

    • Must possess a valid driving license including category G1 issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.

  • Age Limit: Between 18 and 45 years.

  • Salary Scale: U-PL-2 (III) – Rs. 44,575 - 16 x 490 - 52,415/- p.m. (Plus cost of living and other approved allowances).

  • Selection Method: Through a trade test and a structured interview.

4. Security Guard (Grade III)

  • Qualifications:

    • G.C.E. (O/L) examination passed in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes in not more than two sittings.

    • Must submit a recently obtained Police report.

  • Age Limit: Between 18 and 45 years.

  • Salary Scale: U-PL 1 (III) – Rs. 42,775 - 16 x 450 - 49,975/- p.m. (Plus cost of living and other approved allowances).

  • Selection Method: Through a trade test and/or structured interview.

General Conditions

  • Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka, possess good character, and have the physical and mental fitness to discharge duties and serve anywhere in the island.

  • Drivers and Security Guards must submit a recently obtained Police report with their application.
