Job Summary

• Position: Heavy Machinery Operator - Grade III (Open Basis)
• Institution: Moratuwa Municipal Council
• Number of Vacancies: 08 Posts
• Qualifications Required:
• Passed 6 subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) examination in no more than two sittings, with at least 2 credit passes (5 subjects must be passed in one sitting).
• Valid heavy vehicle driving license (Class D or equivalent license issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic).
• NVQ Level 4 certificate in operating heavy machinery or road rollers issued by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
• At least 1 year of practical experience in operating heavy machinery or road rollers.
• Basic knowledge of motor mechanics and a minimum physical height of 5 feet.
• Eligibility & Residency: Sri Lankan citizen aged between 18 and 45 years as of the closing date, with at least 3 consecutive years of permanent residence in the Western Province.
• Service Terms: Permanent and pensionable (subject to contributions to the Widows' & Orphans' / Widowers' & Orphans' Pension Scheme).
