Position Overview

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Jaffna is conducting walk-in interviews for the post of Temporary Demonstrator across multiple academic departments and units. Candidates awaiting their final examination results are also eligible to apply and attend the interview.

Departments & Qualification Requirements

• Pharmacy:

  • Required Qualification: BPharm Honours degree.

  • Interview Time: Friday, October 23, 2026, at 09:00 AM.

• Medical Laboratory Sciences:

  • Required Qualification: BSc Honours in Medical Laboratory Sciences.

  • Interview Time: Friday, October 23, 2026, at 09:30 AM.

• Sports Science Unit:

  • Required Qualification: BSc Honours in Physical Education.

  • Interview Time: Friday, October 23, 2026, at 10:15 AM.

• Nursing:

  • Required Qualification: BSc Honours in Nursing.

  • Interview Time: Friday, October 23, 2026, at 02:00 PM.

• Human Biological Sciences:

  • Required Qualification: Basic degree with specialization in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS), Pharmacy, Nursing, or Human Biological Sciences (specializing in Anatomy, Biochemistry, or Physiology).

  • Interview Time: Friday, October 23, 2026, at 03:00 PM.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: Fixed monthly salary of Rs. 68,145/- (with a deduction of Rs. 6,029/- as an unpaid amount pursuant to Commission Circular No. 02/2025(i) dated 04.04.2025).

• Allowances: Additional allowances approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
