Job Overview

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Colombo is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Temporary Demonstrator (On Contract) in the Department of Psychiatry.

• Position: Temporary Demonstrator (On Contract)

• Number of Vacancies: 01

• Employment Type: Contract basis (Initial 6-month appointment, renewable for up to 24 months based on performance and institutional need)

• Location: Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka

Required Qualifications

Applicants must satisfy one of the following core educational requirements:

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Degree from a recognized university; OR

• BSc Physiotherapy Degree from a recognized university.

Preferred Attributes (Added Advantages):

• Excellent communication skills in the English language (both written and verbal).

• Strong IT and technical skills.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Structure: Basic Salary of Rs. 8,145/= p.m. plus the government-approved Cost of Living Allowance (COLA).

• Statutory Contributions: Contributions to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund (ETF) will be made in accordance with university regulations.
