Permanent Medical & Clinical Positions

• Medical Officer (Grade I / Grade II / Preliminary Grade): Full SLMC registration required + Good Standing certificate. Grade I requires recognized postgraduate degree and 6 years experience; Grade II requires 2 years experience. Basic placement from LKR 104,090 to LKR 137,480 + allowances. Age: 25–45.
• Matron (Nursing Sister): Special Grade officer with 1.5-year Ward Management / Teaching / Public Health diploma and 5 years in Grade I nursing. Salary scale MT 8 (step 4: LKR 87,800). Age: 25–52.
• Nursing Officer (Grade III): Diploma or Degree in Nursing recognized by the Ministry of Health/Nursing Council + G.C.E. A/L Science stream passes. Salary scale MT 7 (step 1: LKR 55,910 + allowances). Age: 22–45.
• Radiographer (Diagnostic): B.Sc. in Radiography/Radiotherapy or 2-year Ministry diploma + SLMC registration. Salary scale MT 6 (step 1: LKR 55,110). Age: 22–45.
• Pharmacist: B.Pharm / B.Sc. in Pharmacy or 2-year full-time diploma + SLMC registration. Salary scale MT 6 (step 1: LKR 55,110). Age: 22–45.
• Physiotherapist: B.Sc. in Physiotherapy or 2-year diploma + SLMC registration. Salary scale MT 6 (step 1: LKR 55,110). Age: 22–45.
• Occupational Therapist: B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy or 2-year diploma + SLMC registration. Salary scale MT 6 (step 1: LKR 55,110). Age: 22–45.
• Ophthalmic Technologist: 2-year Ministry diploma in Ophthalmic Technology + SLMC registration. Salary scale MT 6 (step 1: LKR 55,110). Age: 22–45.
• Orthoptist: Permanent Ophthalmic Technologist with 5 years service + 6-month Orthoptics training at Sri Lanka Eye Hospital + SLMC registration. Salary scale MT 6 (step 1: LKR 55,110). Age: 22–45.
• Electroencephalography (EEG) Recordist: 1-year diploma conducted by the Ministry of Health + A/L Bio Science credit. Salary scale MT 4 (step 1: LKR 53,510). Age: 18–45.
• Public Health Midwife (Female): 1.5-year professional internal diploma in midwifery from Ministry of Health. Salary scale MT 5 (step 1: LKR 54,310). Age: 22–45.

IT, Technical & Support Staff Positions

• Network Administrator: Degree in Computer Engineering/CS/IT or NVQ Level 6/7 (with 5 years experience) or NVQ Level 5 (with 10 years experience). Salary scale JM 1-1 (step 2: LKR 72,650). Age: 22–45.
• Audiology Technician: NVQ Level 5 or 2-year full-time Ministry diploma in Audiology + SLMC registration. Salary scale MA 2-1 (step 1: LKR 50,540). Age: 18–45.
• Central Sterilization Supply Unit (CSSD) Operator: NVQ Level 2 in machinery operation or G.C.E. O/L passes with 3 credits. Salary scale PL 2 (step 1: LKR 42,300). Age: 18–45.
• Hospital Orderly / Health Care Assistant: G.C.E. O/L with 6 subjects including 2 credits. Salary scale PL 1 (step 1: LKR 40,500). Age: 18–45.
• Cook: NVQ Level 2 certification in relevant field. Salary scale PL 2 (step 1: LKR 42,300). Age: 18–45.

Hourly Paid Positions

• Medical Officers (Grade I / Grade II / Preliminary Grade): Same basic qualifications and SLMC registration; hourly rates paid under Ministry of Finance Circular No. 01/2025.
