1. Administrative Officer (01 Vacancy)

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 22 and 45 years of age. (Note: The maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants).
  • External Applicants: Must hold a degree recognized by the University Grants Commission in Human Resource Management, Commerce, Public Administration, Public Management, or Management.
  • Internal Applicants: Must meet the requirements for external applicants OR have completed a minimum of five (05) years of satisfactory service in a Grade II position within the relevant field of the Management Assistant 'Non-Technical' (MA 1) Service Category.

Remuneration (Administrative Officer)

  • Salary Scale (JM 1-1 - 2025): Rs. 72,650 - 10 x 1,360 - 18 x 2,040 - 122,970/-.
  • Note: This salary scale will be effective from January 1, 2027. Until December 31, 2026, the basic salary will be Rs. 65,633/-.

2. English Instructor (02 Vacancies)

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 22 and 45 years of age. (Note: The maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants).
  • External Applicants (Must meet one of the three options below):
  1. Hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Teaching English or a degree in English recognized by the University Grants Commission.
  2. Hold an English Proficiency Certificate of not less than National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level Six (06) issued by an institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, AND possess a minimum of five (05) years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field within a government institution, public corporation, board, or statutory body.
  3. Hold a Proficiency Certificate of not less than NVQ Level Five (05) issued by an institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, AND possess a minimum of ten (10) years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field within a government institution, public corporation, board, or statutory body.
  • Internal Applicants: Must fully meet the qualifications stipulated for external applicants.

Remuneration (English Instructor)

  • Salary Scale (MA 4 - 2025): Rs. 64,320 - 10 x 1,360 - 15 x 1,670 - 5 x 2,040 - 113,170/-.
  • Note: This salary scale will be effective from January 1, 2027. Until December 31, 2026, the basic salary will be Rs. 58,598/-.

General Employment Conditions & Benefits

  • Nationality: All applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
  • Fitness: Must be physically and mentally fit to perform assigned duties and serve in any part of the island.
  • Statutory Benefits: Employees must contribute to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) according to government-approved percentages.
  • Probation: Appointments are subject to a three-year probationary period.
  • Regulations: Appointees are subject to the provisions of the National Institute of Social Development Act No. 41 of 1992, as well as rules and regulations imposed by the government from time to time.

Selection Process (For Both Roles)

  • Recruitment will be based on a structured interview conducted by an interview board appointed by the appointing authority.
  • Selection is based on the order of merit among the highest scorers.
  • Interview Scoring System (100 Marks Total):
  • Relevant Additional Experience: 30 Marks
  • Relevant Additional Qualifications: 30 Marks
  • Other Skills and Performances: 15 Marks
  • Merit Demonstrated at the Interview: 25 Marks
