Organization: Bureau of the Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Salary Scale: MA 5-2 2025 (Calculated annual salary for 2026 is Rs. 896,388.00, including the Rs. 17,800 monthly cost of living allowance) Candidate Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka with an excellent character.
- Age must be between 22 and 45 years (the maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants).
- Candidates must be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of the island.
- Educational Requirements: A UGC-recognized degree in Counseling Psychology, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, or a related field, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant subject area. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify rehabilitees during the residential rehabilitation period and investigate their family backgrounds.
- Connect rehabilitees with their parents, identify their issues, and provide assistance to resolve them.
- Create a suitable environment for rehabilitees to live as good citizens after reintegration into society.
- Study and collect data on behavioral patterns, analyze the data, and reach conclusions.
- Direct individuals to employment opportunities to uplift their economy and welfare, and provide counseling services to minimize the chances of them reverting to previous habits.
- Ensure the accuracy and security of rehabilitee data when providing it to higher headquarters and other special institutions, subject to the Bureau's approval.
- Coordinate with government and non-government organizations to provide necessary welfare facilities by continuously monitoring rehabilitees and updating their data for future development.
- Accurately maintain and update the database of rehabilitees and reintegrated individuals. How to Apply:
- Applications must be completed exclusively via the online portal.
- External applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/-. Internal applicants currently employed at the Bureau are exempt from this fee.
- The application fee should be deposited to the "Bureau of Commissioner General of Rehabilitation" account at the Bank of Ceylon, Borella Super Grade Branch (Account No: 0007042763).
- After submitting the online application, download the completed form and attach the original bank deposit slip (with the applicant's name and applied post written in blue ink).
- Send the hard copy via registered post, along with certified copies of the birth certificate, educational certificates, national identity card, Grama Niladhari certificate, two recent character certificates (obtained within the last 3 months), and other relevant documents.
- Applicants already employed in government departments, corporations, or statutory boards must forward their applications with the formal approval of their respective Head of Department or Institution.
