Quantity Surveyor

The University of Colombo invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for the post of Quantity Surveyor attached to the Capital Works & Planning and Maintenance Branch, College House, University of Colombo.

Position Summary

• Role: Quantity Surveyor

• Engagement Basis: Assignment Basis (Initially for 6 months, with potential extension based on performance)

• Institution: University of Colombo

• Location: College House, 94, Cumaratunga Munidasa Mawatha, Colombo 03, Sri Lanka

• Application Deadline: November 18, 2026

• Remuneration: A total remuneration of Rs. 631,320/-, payable in 06 equal monthly installments based on work completed.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational & Professional Qualifications:

  • BSc Degree Specializing in Quantity Surveying from a recognized University with a minimum of two years' experience; OR

  • NCT, HNDE, NDT in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with at least three (03) years of experience in Quantity Surveying in a recognized establishment.

• Core Competencies: Extensive experience in taking measurements, taking off, preparation of BOQs, and scrutinizing bills and measurements.

• General Requirements: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka of good character.

• Age Limit: Not more than 45 years.
