Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for allocated fresh product categories.

• Guide and lead Store Executives across relevant departments to achieve category objectives.

• Monitor supplier performance, fill rates, and product availability.

• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable commercial terms.

• Drive category profitability through effective category management and merchandising.

• Manage promotions, supplier claims, and warehouse inventory performance.

• Conduct market research and category reviews to identify growth opportunities.

• Support strategic decision-making through timely reporting and analysis.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and farmers.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: G.C.E. O/L and A/L qualifications.

• Professional Qualifications: Degree, Diploma, or professional qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement within a retail environment or a similar role.

• Technical Skills: Strong IT proficiency, particularly in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Language Skills: Good communication skills in both Sinhala and English.

• Core Competencies: Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
