Project Manager, Technical Officer, Pharmacist

The Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, located in Mihintale, invites applications from suitably qualified persons for various academic support, technical, and administrative positions. Applications are open until 01st December 2026.

Available Positions & Requirements

1. Post of Project Manager

• Salary Scale: Rs. 113,690 - 8 x 2,400; 8 x 2,940 - 156,410 p.m. (U-EX 2(II))

• Method of Recruitment: Selection by structured interview.

• Qualifications:

  • (a) B.Sc. Engineering degree specializing in Civil Engineering OR Quantity Surveying from a recognized university/HEI, OR equivalent professional qualifications.

  • (b) Corporate membership from a recognized Engineering Institute OR a recognized institute of Quantity Surveying.

  • (c) A minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in construction projects, handling contracts as well as managing direct labour.

2. Technical Officer (Chemical) Grade III

• Salary Scale: Rs. 51,095 - 7 x 540; 10 x 640 - 60,575 p.m.

• Method of Recruitment: Selection by written and/or practical test and an interview.

• Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.

• Qualifications:

  • (i) Passed in three (3) subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination in one sitting in Biological Science or Physical Science stream, including Chemistry as a subject.

  • AND

  • (ii) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology OR a certificate of proficiency not below NVQ Level 5 in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering.

3. Technical Officer (ICT) Grade III

• Salary Scale: Rs. 51,095 - 7 x 540; 10 x 640 - 60,575 p.m.

• Method of Recruitment: Selection by written and/or practical test and an interview.

• Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.

• Qualifications:

  • (i) Passed in three (3) subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination in one sitting in any stream.

  • AND

  • (ii) Certificate of proficiency not below NVQ Level 5 in ICT, Information Communication and Multimedia Technology, or equivalent. (Preference will be given to those with work experience in ICT.)

4. Technical Officer (Electrical) Grade III

• Salary Scale: Rs. 51,095 - 7 x 540; 10 x 640 - 60,575 p.m.

• Method of Recruitment: Selection by written and/or practical test and an interview.

• Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.

• Qualifications:

  • (i) Passed in three (03) subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination in one sitting in Physical Science Stream or Engineering Technology (ET) / ICT under Technology Stream.

  • AND

  • (ii) Certificate of proficiency not below NVQ Level 5 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

5. Supervisor (Electrical) Grade III

• Salary Scale: Rs. 51,095 - 7 x 540; 10 x 640 - 60,575 p.m. (U-MT 1(III))

• Method of Recruitment: Selection by Interview.

• Age Limit: Not more than 45 years.

• Qualifications:

  • (a) National Certificate in Technology (NCT) or equivalent with 3 years' experience; OR

  • (b) G.C.E. (O/L) in 6 subjects at not more than 2 sittings with at least 5 years' experience as a supervisor in a government, local government, state corporation, or recognized engineering establishment.

6. Post of Pharmacist (Lower Grade)

• Salary Scale: Rs. 51,095 - 7 x 540; 10 x 640 - 60,575 p.m. (U-MT 1(III))

• Method of Recruitment: Selection by Interview.

• Age Limit: Not more than 45 years.

• Qualifications: Certificate of competence as a qualified pharmacist recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council.
