• Role: Assistant Manager Compliance (Apparel / Textile)

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with all applicable Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations, standards, and organizational requirements.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve Health & Safety policies, procedures, systems, and best practices.

• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments across the manufacturing facility.

• Lead relevant customer audits and implement corrective & preventive actions.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant industry standards.

• Monitor and enforce the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.

• Lead fire safety, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and emergency response drills.

• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions while ensuring zero major incidents.

• Ensure contractor safety compliance, including appropriate documentation, certifications, and equipment standards.

• Develop and monitor safety performance indicators and provide regular reports and recommendations to management.

• Drive safety awareness through training, communication, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives.

• Review, develop, and enhance SOPs, work permit systems, safety manuals, and risk control measures.

• Promote a proactive safety-first culture throughout the organization.

• Work closely with operational teams and management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workplace safety.

• Coordinate with relevant government institutions.

Candidate Skill Profile & Qualifications

• Education: BSc graduate in Engineering, Science, or any other relevant field.

• Experience: 03 to 05 years of experience in the same scope within a manufacturing or industrial environment. (Previous experience within an apparel/textile manufacturing environment will be highly advantageous).

• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.

• Certifications: Qualified auditor in ISO 45001 & 14001 will be an added advantage.

• Technical Skills: Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel.

• Soft Skills: Good communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
