The Southern Province Road Passenger Transport Authority invites applications from qualified citizens of Sri Lanka to fill vacant non-technical positions under the Management Assistant service category.

Available Positions & Vacancy Breakdown

  1. Management Assistant Grade III (Non-Technical) [MA 1-1] – 05 Posts

  2. Station Keeper Grade III (Non-Technical) [MA 1-1] – 10 Posts

  3. Range Inspector Grade III (Non-Technical) [MA 1-1] – 05 Posts

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

1. Educational Qualifications:

  • G.C.E. (O/L): Passed in six (06) subjects with at least four (04) credit passes in not more than two sittings, including Sinhala/Tamil, and Mathematics.

  • G.C.E. (A/L): Passed at least three (03) subjects (excluding the Common General Paper).

2. Additional Qualifications & Skills:

  • Knowledge of the English language.

  • Computer literacy and relevant IT qualifications.

3. General Eligibility & Demographics:

  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

  • Age Limit: Between 18 and 45 years of age as of the closing date of applications.

  • Physical & Mental Fitness: Must possess sufficient physical and mental fitness to perform duties and serve anywhere within the Southern Province.

  • Character: Must be of excellent character.

Salary Scale & Benefits

  • Salary Scale: MA 1-2025 (Rs. 46,220 - 10 x 540 - 7 x 630 - 4 x 890 - 20 x 1,190 = Rs. 83,390/- p.m.) in accordance with Management Services Circular No. 01/2025 (effective from 25.03.2025).

  • Allowances: Entitled to government-approved allowances and privileges for the post.

  • Service Conditions: Selected candidates will contribute to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund (ETF) as applicable under the Authority.

Selection Procedure

  • Selection will be made through a structured interview conducted by an appointed interview board.
