Internal Auditor

The Coconut Research Institute (CRI) under the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure invites applications from qualified citizens of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka for the vacant post of Internal Auditor.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

1. External Applicants:

• Professional Qualifications:

  • Intermediate level qualification of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL); OR

  • Intermediate level qualification of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA); OR

  • Intermediate level qualification of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); OR

  • A four (04) year Honours Degree in Management or Commerce.

• Experience: Minimum of three (03) years of post-qualification experience in auditing and financial management in a government department, corporation, board, or recognized commercial institution.

2. Internal Applicants:

• Minimum of five (05) years of satisfactory experience in a relevant field within the Junior Management Level Grade I.

Note: Knowledge of computerized accounting systems will be considered a special qualification.

Age Limit & Service Category

• Service Category: Middle Management Level (MM 1-2)

• Age Limit: Must be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years of age as of the closing date of applications. (The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates).

Salary Scale

• Salary Scale: MM 1-2 (Rs. 94,170 - 10 x 2,480 - 15 x 3,450 - 170,720)

• Initial Salary Step: Rs. 94,170.00 (In accordance with Management Services Circular No. 1/2025, this basic salary becomes effective from 01.01.2027, with the transitional payment applicable as per Schedule II for 2026 being Rs. 83,803.00).
