The University of Colombo invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Assistant Internal Auditor on a contract basis for the Internal Audit Branch.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must fulfill at least one of the following qualification pathways:

  1. Pass in the Final II examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) or its equivalent.

    OR

  2. (a)

    • (i) A Bachelor's Degree specialized in Accounting from a recognized University/HEI; OR

    • (ii) A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University/HEI with a pass in the Intermediate level Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) or its equivalent; OR

    • (iii) A Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (HNDA) of Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE) or its predecessor.

      AND

      (b) Two (02) years of experience in Accounting/Auditing in a Government/State corporation or reputed private sector organization.

Salary & Conditions of Appointment

  • Remuneration: Rs. 85,305/- per month + Rs. 17,800/- Cost of Living Allowance, with EPF and ETF contributions as applicable.

  • Contract Duration: Initially for a period of six (06) months, with potential extension based on satisfactory performance and university requirements.
