Key Qualifications & Requirements

1. Lecturer (Probationary)

• MBBS Degree with First or Second Class (Upper/Lower Division) Honours (including considerations for Second MBBS/IBSS/BScS achievements); OR

• MBBS Degree AND a relevant Doctoral Degree or Master's Degree (with a research component by thesis/dissertation of at least 24 months duration), or UGC-approved equivalent qualifications.

2. Lecturer (Unconfirmed)

• Possesses an MBBS degree along with postgraduate qualifications (such as an MD/MS awaiting Board Certification from the PGIM, a Doctoral Degree, or a qualifying Master's degree) AND has less than six (06) years of experience in university teaching, professional practice, research, or postgraduate studies.

3. Senior Lecturer Grade II / Grade I

• Possesses an MBBS degree alongside higher postgraduate qualifications (such as MD/MS with Board Certification from the PGIM or a Doctoral degree) AND at least six (06) years (for Grade II) or eleven (11) years (for Grade I) of professional, teaching, or research experience.

Salary Scales (As of 01.01.2025)

• Salary Code: U-AC 3 – Rs. 94,400 - 10 x 2,400; 11 x 2,940; 8 x 3,900 - 187,820 p.m.

  • Lecturer (Probationary) [U-AC 3(IV)]: Rs. 94,400 - 10 x 2,400 - 118,400 p.m.

  • Lecturer (Unconfirmed) [U-AC 3(III)]: Rs. 121,340 - 5 x 2,940 - 136,040 p.m.

  • Senior Lecturer Grade II [U-AC 3(II)]: Rs. 138,980 - 11 x 2,940 - 171,320 p.m.

  • Senior Lecturer Grade I [U-AC 3(I)]: Rs. 160,520 - 7 x 3,900 - 187,820 p.m.

• Government-approved allowances and Provident Fund/Pension contributions (UPF/ETF) apply.
