Key Qualifications & Requirements

1. Lecturer (Probationary)

• A Bachelor's Degree Honours in the field of Accounting (SLQF 6 or equivalent) with First or Second Class (Upper Division); OR

• A Bachelor's Degree Honours in the field of Accounting (SLQF 6 or equivalent) with Second Class (Lower Division); OR

• A Bachelor's Degree in the field of Accounting (SLQF 5 or equivalent) without Honours or any other Degree with at least a Second Class AND a relevant Doctoral Degree, Master's Degree (with research component), or UGC-approved professional/academic qualifications.

2. Lecturer (Unconfirmed)

• Meets basic Bachelor's degree qualification standards in Accounting AND possesses postgraduate qualifications (such as a Doctoral Degree or qualifying Master's degree) AND has less than six (06) years of experience in university teaching, professional practice, research, or postgraduate studies.

3. Senior Lecturer Grade II / Grade I

• Possesses required Bachelor's and postgraduate (Doctoral/Master's) qualifications in Accounting alongside at least six (06) years (for Grade II) or twelve (12) years (for Grade I) of experience in university teaching, professional practice, or research.

Salary Scales (As of 01.04.2025)

• Salary Code: U-AC 3 – Rs. 94,400 - 10 x 2,400; 13 x 2,940; 8 x 3,900 - 187,820 p.m.

  • Lecturer (Probationary) [U-AC 3(IV)]: Rs. 94,400 - 10 x 2,400 - 118,400 p.m.

  • Lecturer (Unconfirmed) [U-AC 3(III)]: Rs. 121,340 - 5 x 2,940 - 136,040 p.m. / Rs. 138,980 - 11 x 2,940 - 171,320 p.m.

  • Senior Lecturer Grade II [U-AC 3(II)]: Rs. 138,980+ upwards based on steps.

  • Senior Lecturer Grade I [U-AC 3(I)]: Rs. 160,520 - 7 x 3,900 - 187,820 p.m.

• Government-approved allowances and Provident Fund/Pension contributions (UPF/ETF) apply.
