Candidate Qualifications & Requirements (Alternative Pathways)

Candidates must fulfill at least one of the following qualification pathways:

• Pathway 1: A four-year Special Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Agriculture or Agricultural Technology & Management majoring in Crop Science / Horticulture / Floriculture / Forestry from a recognized University / HEI with not less than one (01) year of experience in landscaping in a State, Corporation, or reputed Private sector organization in a supervisory capacity.

• Pathway 2: A four-year Special Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Landscape Architecture from a recognized University / HEI with not less than one (01) year of experience in landscaping in a State, Corporation, or reputed Private sector organization in a supervisory capacity.

• Pathway 3: A four-year Special Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Botany from a recognized University / HEI with not less than two (02) years of experience in landscaping in a State, Corporation, or reputed Private sector organization in a supervisory capacity.

Salary Scale & Benefits

• Salary Scale: U-EX 1 (II) – Rs. 85,305 - 3 x 2,020 - 91,365 (EB) - 93,765; 12 x 2,400 - 122,565 p.m. (Government-approved allowances are payable in addition).

• Provident Fund & Pension: Contributors to the Universities Provident Fund (10% employee, 7% employer) and Universities Pension Scheme (8% employer), plus 3% to the Employees Trust Fund.

• Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 55 years (provisions of Section 18.7.5 of Chapter III of the University Establishment Code apply to public/local government officers exceeding 55).
