The University of the Visual and Performing Arts invites applications from qualified individuals for the following vacant posts until 30th November 2026.

Available Positions, Salary Scales & Requirements

1. Assistant Registrar (Legal and Documentation)

• Salary Scale: U-EX 1 (II) – Rs. 85,305 - 3 x 2,020 - 91,365 (EB) - 93,765; 12 x 2,400 - 122,565 p.m.

• Qualifications:

  • An Attorney-at-Law with a Degree in Law/Legal Studies with not less than 2 years of experience gained in court work, legal work, and drafting legal documentation in a state/corporation, reputed private sector organization, or official bar after obtaining qualifications; OR

  • An Attorney-at-Law with not less than 3 years of experience gained in court work, legal work, and drafting legal documentation in a state/corporation, reputed private sector organization, or official bar.

2. Works Engineer (Civil) Grade III

• Salary Scale: U-EX 1 (II) – Rs. 85,305 - 3 x 2,020 - 91,365 (EB) - 93,765; 12 x 2,400 - 122,565 p.m.

• Qualifications (Alternative pathways):

  • Option A: B.Sc. Engineering Degree specializing in Civil Engineering recognized by UGC and IESL, registered as an Associate Engineer or above at ECSL.

  • Option B: Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET) Degree specializing in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Technology recognized by UGC with at least 2 years of experience in civil engineering works, registered as an Affiliate Engineer or above at ECSL.

  • Option C: National Diploma in Technology (NDT) specializing in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 7 years of experience in civil engineering works, registered as an Incorporated Engineer or above at ECSL (In-plant training excluded).

3. Project Manager - Construction Works

• Salary Scale: U-EX 2 (II) – Rs. 113,690 - 8 x 2,400; 8 x 2,940 - 156,410 p.m.

• Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. Engineering degree specializing in Civil Engineering OR Quantity Surveying (or equivalent IESL-recognized professional qualifications); AND

  • Corporate membership from a recognized Engineering Institute OR Institute of Quantity Surveying; AND

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in construction projects, handling contracts, and managing direct labour (Preference given to project management experience).

4. Career Guidance Counsellor (Grade II)

• Salary Scale: U-AS 2 (II) – Rs. 85,305 - 3 x 2,400 - 92,505 (EB) - 94,905; 14 x 2,400 - 128,505 p.m.

• Age Limit: 22 to 45 years.

• Qualifications:

  • Holder of a Bachelor's Degree with First or Second Class from a recognized university/HEI with 4 years of experience in student affairs; AND good command of communication skills in English (Preference for postgraduate qualifications in HR Management or Counselling).

5. Assistant Network Manager (Grade II)

• Salary Scale: U-AS 2 (II) – Rs. 85,305 - 3 x 2,400 - 92,505 (EB) - 94,905; 14 x 2,400 - 128,505 p.m.

• Qualifications:

  • First or Second Class in B.Sc. Special Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering; OR Pass in B.Sc. Special Degree with 1 year experience; OR B.Sc. General Degree with computing and relevant experience; OR Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science/Technology with 1 year experience; OR 15 years experience as a Computer Programmer in university service.

  • Note: Preference given for expertise in networking, Linux, database management, LMS, cloud networking, server virtualization (VMware), cybersecurity, and disaster recovery.

Additional Benefits & Selection Method

• Other allowances approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) are paid in addition to the basic salary.

• Selection:

  • Posts 1 to 4: Structured Interview.

  • Post 5 (Assistant Network Manager): Aptitude Test (Cut-off mark: 40) followed by a Structured Interview.
