Key Responsibilities & Job Profile

• Provide strategic legal leadership and advise the Executive Management on critical legal and business matters.

• Safeguard the Company's legal and commercial interests through effective contract drafting, review, and negotiation.

• Lead complex litigation and recovery matters, including debt recovery, mortgages, property, leasing, and hire purchase.

• Oversee conveyancing, notarial, and regulatory matters with a strong focus on compliance and risk mitigation.

• Manage legal risks, disputes, and external counsel to ensure timely and commercially sound resolutions.

• Strengthen legal governance and compliance frameworks by monitoring regulatory developments and advising management on necessary actions.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Professional Qualifications: Attorney-at-Law & Notary Public.

• Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in Banking & Finance.

• Core Expertise: Strong expertise in banking laws, civil litigation, debt recovery, leasing, hire purchase, and mortgage matters.

• Key Competencies: Proven experience in conveyancing, notarial work, contracts, corporate governance, and legal risk management.
