Central Province Management Service Officer (Grade III) Vacancies 2026

The Central Province Public Service Commission has announced the open competitive examination for recruitment to Grade III of the Management Service Officers' Service for 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified residents of the Central Province seeking permanent, pensionable employment in the state sector.

📌 Job Overview

• Position: Management Service Officer - Grade III.
• Total Vacancies: 242 open positions.
• Location: Central Province, Sri Lanka (Includes Kandy, Matale, and Nuwara Eliya districts).
• Job Nature: Permanent and pensionable, subject to a three-year probationary period.
• Salary Scale: Rs. 48,470 – 10x540 – 11x630 – 10x1,010 – 10x1,190 – Rs. 82,800/- (Effective starting January 1, 2027).

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements on or before the closing date to be considered for the examination:

Age and Residency

• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old as of October 16, 2026.
• Birth Date Range: Applicants must be born between October 16, 1996, and October 16, 2008.
• Residency: Candidates must have been a continuous permanent resident of the Central Province for at least three (03) years within the five (05) years immediately preceding the closing date.

Educational Qualifications

• G.C.E. (O/L): Must have passed six (06) subjects in one sitting.
• O/L Credits: The six passes must include credit passes for four (04) subjects, which must include Mathematics and the First Language (Sinhala, Tamil, or English).
• G.C.E. (A/L): Must have passed all subjects in one sitting, excluding the General Test.
• A/L (Old Syllabus): For candidates under the old syllabus, passing three (03) subjects in one sitting is considered sufficient.

The application and examination administration is handled directly by the Department of Examinations.

• Application Window: The online application system opened on September 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM and will close on October 16, 2026, at 9:00 PM.
• Examination Fee: A non-refundable fee of Rs. 600/- is required.
• Payment Options: The fee can be paid via Credit/Debit Card, Bank of Ceylon (BOC) Online Banking/Flex App, or over the counter via a BOC Teller Slip.
