Agriculture Officer

1. Position: Agriculture Officer

Position Summary

• Role: Agriculture Officer

• Company: Tropica Organic Foods (Pvt) Ltd

• Preferred Locations: Candidates residing near Mirigama & Giriulla will be given preference.

• Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with farmers and gather field-level information.

• Evaluate farms for organic certification requirements.

• Train and guide farmers on organic farming practices.

• Maintain required documentation and conduct internal audits.

• Support organic certification and farmer compliance activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Agriculture or an equivalent qualification.

• Good knowledge in the cultivation and management of coconut, pineapple, and other commercial crops (fruits, vegetables, spices, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of organic farming practices (soil health, natural inputs, certification requirements).

• Valid driving license and willingness to travel.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and in the field.
