Vacancy Notice: Internal Auditor (01 Vacancy)

Applications are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka for the post of Internal Auditor at the Coconut Research Institute (CRI), Lunuwila.

Position Summary

Salary Scale & Remuneration

• Salary Scale: Rs. 94,170 - [10 x 2,480 - 15 x 3,450] - 170,720/- (Initial basic salary: Rs. 94,170.00).

• Note: In accordance with Management Services Circular No. 01/2025, the basic salary will be effective from 01.01.2027, with the transitional payment as per Schedule II being Rs. 83,803.00 as at 01.01.2026.

Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria

1. External Applicants

• Professional / Educational Qualifications:

  • Intermediate / Medium level qualification of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL); OR Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA); OR Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); OR a 4-year Management or Commerce Special Degree.

• Experience:

  • At least three (03) years of post-qualifying experience in auditing and financial management in a government department, corporation, statutory board, or recognized commercial institution.

• Special Advantage: Knowledge of computerized accounting systems will be considered an added qualification.

• Age Limit: Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years as of the closing date of applications. (Upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates).

2. Internal Applicants

• Having at least 05 years of satisfactory experience in the relevant field within the Junior Management Category I (JM 1-1) grade. (Upper age limit does not apply).

General Conditions

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka with sound physical and mental health, willing to serve anywhere in the island.

• Public Sector Employees: Officers currently employed in government departments, corporations, or statutory boards must forward their applications through their respective Heads of Institutions (advance copies may be sent directly).
