The Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka (located in Konesapuri, Nilaveli, Trincomalee) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the permanent academic support post of Instructor in Computer Technology Grade II within the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Communication and Business Studies.

• Salary Scale: U-AS 2 (II) Rs. 85,305 - 3x2,400 - 92,505 (EB) 94,905 - 14x2,400 - 128,505 p.m. as at 01.01.2027.

• Additional Benefits: Cost of Living Allowance and other approved university allowances will be paid in addition to the basic salary.

• Selection Method: By an aptitude test and interview.

Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess one (01) of the following academic and experience routes:

1. Route (i): A First or Second Class in the B.Sc. Special Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering from a recognized University.

2. Route (ii):

   • A Pass in the B.Sc. Special Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering from a recognized University; OR a First or Second Class in the B.Sc. General Degree with computing as a subject component from a recognized University; AND

   • One (01) year of experience in the field of Computing.

3. Route (iii):

   • A Pass in the B.Sc. General Degree with computing as a subject component from a recognized University; OR a First or Second Class in the B.Sc. General Degree (where computing is not a subject component) from a recognized University; AND

   • Two (02) years of experience in the field of Computing.

4. Route (iv): A Pass in the B.Sc. General Degree (where computing is not a subject component) from a recognized University; AND Three (03) years of experience in the field of Computing.

5. Route (v): Any other degree from a recognized University; AND a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science / Computer Technology from a recognized University; AND One (01) year of experience in the field of Computing.

General Conditions:

• Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

• Must be physically and mentally fit to discharge duties and serve in any part of the island.

• Must possess an excellent moral character.
