The Urban Development Authority (UDA) is the primary statutory agency responsible for integrated planning and physical development of urban areas across Sri Lanka. Applications are invited from qualified citizens of Sri Lanka to fill multiple permanent positions across Primary Level grades.

1. Post: Air-Condition Technician (PL 3)

• Vacancies: 01 Post

• Employment Type: Permanent Basis

• Salary Scale: Primary Level – Skilled (PL 3 Grade III)

Qualifications & Experience

• External Candidates:

  • Proficiency certificate not lower than National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4 issued by a technical/vocational training institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) in air conditioning and refrigeration.

• Internal Candidates (Either Option 1 or Option 2):

  1. Qualifications required for external candidates listed above; OR

  2. Employees in Primary Level Semi-Skilled (PL 2) or Unskilled (PL 1) who have completed a minimum of five (05) years of working experience in the relevant field with skills not below NVQ Level 2, proven via a trade test.

2. Post: Field Assistant (PL 2)

• Salary Scale: Primary Level – Semi-Skilled (PL 2 Grade III)

  1. Qualifications required for external candidates listed above; OR

  2. Employees in Unskilled Level who have completed a minimum of five (05) years of working experience in the relevant field with skills not below NVQ Level 2, proven via a trade test.

3. Post: Labour / Motorcycle Orderly Messenger (PL 1)

  • Labour: 15 Posts

  • Motorcycle Orderly Messenger: 01 Post

• Employment Type: Permanent Basis

• Salary Scale: Primary Level – Unskilled (PL 1 Grade III)

• External Candidates:

  • Candidates who have sat for the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination.

• Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years as of the closing date.

  (The upper age limit does not apply to candidates currently serving in Public or Corporation Services).

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
