The Dean's Office, Faculty of Arts at the University of Colombo is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Temporary Assistant Lecturer.

• Position: Temporary Assistant Lecturer

• Employment Type: Temporary contract (Initially for 06 months, renewable for up to an additional 18 months based on performance and institutional needs)

• Location: Dean's Office, Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka

Required Qualifications & Competencies

Applicants must satisfy the following academic and skill requirements:

1. Educational Qualification: An Honours Degree with First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) in any discipline from a recognized university.

2. Language Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work fluently in both Sinhala and English.

3. Core Skills: Required proficiency in IT and teaching skills.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Scale: U-AC 2

• Monthly Compensation: Rs. 85,305/= p.m. plus other approved government and university allowances (as of 01-01-2025).

• Statutory Benefits: Contributions to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund (ETF) in accordance with government and university regulations.
