Office Assistant, Driver

Job Summary

• Institution: Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) – Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.

• Driver (PL 3): 05 Posts
• Office Assistant (PL 1): 02 Posts
• Qualifications Required:
• Driver (PL 3): Passed 6 subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) examination, including Sinhala and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings. Must hold a valid driving licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic to drive all heavy vehicles, with at least three (03) years of post-licence driving experience. Requires general knowledge of motor mechanics, good eyesight, and a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches.
• Office Assistant (PL 1): Passed 6 subjects at the G.C.E. (O/L) examination, including Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
• Age Limit: Above 18 years and below 45 years of age (maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants for the Driver position).
• Service Terms & Benefits: Permanent post subject to probation. Employee contributes 8% to the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF), while the Commission contributes 12% to EPF and 3% to the Employees' Trust Fund (ETF). Other government-approved allowances will be paid.
