Xero Lanka is seeking a talented Full-Stack Web Developer for a six-month fixed-term contract to join their office in Colpetty.

Key Responsibilities

As the Full-Stack Web Developer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and launching the website from scratch.

• Building responsive and user-friendly frontends for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

• Developing robust backend systems, databases, APIs, and server-side functionality.

• Creating property listing pages complete with photographs, descriptions, facilities, pricing, locations, and availability information.

• Implementing advanced search and filtering features to help users discover suitable properties.

• Developing a secure administrative dashboard for managing property listings and website content.

• Implementing user authentication and other required account functionalities.

• Integrating third-party services such as maps, email, analytics, booking, and payment systems.

• Applying SEO best practices and optimizing website performance, speed, and accessibility.

• Testing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues while deploying the website with complete technical documentation and structured handovers.

Requirements & Skills

To qualify for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development practices.

  • Practical understanding of both frontend and backend development.

  • Familiarity with at least one suitable frontend framework and one backend technology.

  • Knowledge of databases, API integration, website architecture, and version control systems (like Git).

  • Basic knowledge of website deployment, security, testing, and performance optimization.

• Added Advantages: Knowledge of SEO and website analytics.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, ability to work independently, good time management, willingness to learn new technologies, strong communication, teamwork skills, and attention to detail.
