Position Overview

MILCO (Pvt) Ltd invites applications from qualified employees currently in permanent service for the post of Assistant Provincial Manager (JM 1-1). The role provides leadership support to the Provincial Manager, overseeing operations at Milk Chilling Centers, streamlining supply chain dispatches to processing plants, and managing regional personnel and general operations.

Key Responsibilities & Core Duties

• Milk Chilling Operations: Maintain overall operational supervision across regional Milk Chilling Centers.

• Supply Chain & Dispatches: Coordinate and oversee raw milk transportation and dispatches from collection points up to processing factories.

• Personnel Management: Direct, supervise, and support regional operational staff and field teams.

• General Administration: Assist the Provincial Manager in daily administration, regional coordination, and operational problem-solving.

Qualification & Experience Profiles

Applicants must satisfy Option A or Option B below:

Option A: Academic / Technical Qualifications Route

Candidates qualifying under this route must fulfill any one of the following four criteria:

1. University Degree:

   • Bachelor's degree in Dairy Technology, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, or an equivalent relevant qualification recognized by the UGC of Sri Lanka.

2. NVQ Level 7:

   • Certificate of Proficiency in Agriculture, Livestock, or Animal Husbandry at not less than National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 7 from a TVEC-accepted training institute.

3. NVQ Level 6 + 5 Years Experience:

   • Certificate of Proficiency in Agriculture, Livestock, or Animal Husbandry at NVQ Level 6 from a TVEC-accepted training institute.

   • At least five (5) years of post-qualifying experience in the dairy development sector within the Public Service, a Corporation, a Statutory Board, or a reputed private institution.

4. NVQ Level 5 + 10 Years Experience:

   • Certificate of Proficiency in Agriculture, Livestock, or Animal Husbandry at NVQ Level 5 from a TVEC-accepted training institute.

   • At least ten (10) years of post-qualifying experience in the dairy development sector within the Public Service, a Corporation, a Statutory Board, or a reputed private institution.

Option B: MILCO Internal Service Experience Route

• Completion of at least fifteen (15) years of satisfactory service in the supervisory category within production, quality, or dairy fields at MILCO.

• Must include at least five (5) years of confirmed service in the "Management Assistant Technological" (MA 2-3) Grade II category.
