Qualification 

External Candidates

Having passed six (06) subjects in G.C.E. (O/L) examination, at least with two (02) credit passes in maximum of two sittings.

AND

Having obtained the license issued by the Commissioner General, Department of Motor traffic and a minimum of three (03) year experience in driving after obtaining the driving license.

Internal Candidates

Having obtained the necessary vehicle license issued by the Commissioner General, Department of Motor traffic and a minimum of three (03) years experience in driving after obtaining the driving license.

AND

Completion of minimum five (05) years satisfactory service in a post in the category of primary level unskilled (PL1) in Sri Lanka Institute of Textile and Apparel.

Age Limit

Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years. The upper age limit will not apply to internal candidates.

Salary Scale:

PL 3 – 2025:   Rs. 43,280/- 10 x 490 – 10 x 540 – 10 x 590 – 12 x 630 – 67,040/-

As per Schedule II of DMS Circular No. 01/2025, your basic monthly salary for the year 2026 will be Rs. 40,834/-, and government-approved, statutory allowances will be added.

Other 

i.Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka 

ii.Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the Island.

iii.Should be of excellent moral character.
