University of Colombo – Temporary Demonstrator (Sinhala Medium) Vacancies 2026

• Position: Temporary Demonstrator – Sinhala Medium (02 Vacancies).
• Nature & Duration of Appointment: Temporary contract initially for six (06) months, renewable up to a maximum of another 18 months based on performance and organizational need.
• Eligibility & Minimum Qualifications:
• Degree specializing in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or Information & Communication Technology (ICT) with First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) Honours; OR
• Degree in the relevant field with Second Class (Lower Division) Honours; OR
• Degree in the relevant field without honours (or any other degree with at least Second Class Honours), combined with a relevant Master’s Degree (with a research thesis/dissertation) or a Doctoral Degree.
• Note: Candidates with First Class or Second Class (Upper Division) Honours will be evaluated and interviewed first.
• Salary & Benefits:
• Salary Code: U-AC 1.
• Basic monthly salary of Rs. 68,145/- (as of 01-01-2025) plus cost of living allowance and standard UPF / ETF contributions.
