University of Kelaniya – Temporary Lecturer Job Vacancy 2026

• Institution: University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
• Faculty & Department: Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies – Department of Human Resource Management (English Language Teaching).
• Position: Temporary Lecturer (Academic Year 2024/2025).
• Relevant Subjects: Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), English, or English Language and Communication.
• Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Honors / Special Degree in the relevant field with First Class or Second Class (Upper Division); OR
• Bachelor’s Honors / Special Degree in the relevant field with Second Class (Lower Division); OR
• Bachelor’s Honors / Special Degree in the relevant subject without a class (or any other degree with at least a Second Class), combined with a recognized Doctoral Degree or Master's Degree (with research thesis/dissertation) in the relevant field.
• English language teaching and training experience with Business and Management undergraduates is considered an added advantage.
• Remuneration & Benefits:
• Fixed monthly salary of Rs. 85,305/- (Paid amount: Rs. 76,399/-; Unpaid amount: Rs. 8,906/-).
• Contributory membership in the Universities Provident Fund (10% employee, 15% employer) and Employees’ Trust Fund (3% employer).
