Job Vacancy: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – National Agri Market Service Ltd (NAMS)

• Organization: National Agri Market Service Ltd (NAMS) – 100% state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development.
• Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
• Location: Dedicated Economic Centre Complex, No. 44, Kirimandala Mawatha, Narahenpita, Colombo 05.
• Mandate: Transform, develop, and manage 18 Dedicated Economic Centres (DECs) across Sri Lanka.
• Application Closing Date: On or before 25th October 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall administrative and institutional leadership to NAMS.
• Formulate and implement effective systems, operational discipline, and Board of Directors' decisions.
• Direct and lead the nationwide workforce and operational framework of the company.
• Coordinate closely with state agencies, traders, farmers, and key industry stakeholders.

Salary Scale & Benefits

• Salary Scale: MSD Circular No. 01/2025 HM 2-1-2025: LKR [161,140 – 12 × 4,850 – 219,340].
• Transport Allowance: LKR 50,000 + 145 liters fuel allowance.
• Cost of Living Allowance (COL): LKR 17,800.
• Professional Allowance: LKR 25,000.
• Communication Allowance: Provided as per PED Circular No. 02/2022.

Educational Qualifications & Experience (Option 1 or Option 2)

• Option 1 (Degree + Postgraduate / Chartered Membership):
• UGC-recognized Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Management, Business Administration, Science, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Postgraduate degree in the relevant field OR Associate Membership of a recognized professional chartered institute in Management.
• Minimum 17 years of managerial experience in a corporation, board, or reputed commercial institution following the first degree, including at least 5 years at Senior Managerial Level.
• Option 2 (Degree + PhD):
• UGC-recognized Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Management, Business Administration, Science, Marketing, or related field + PhD in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of post-PhD experience at Senior Managerial Level in a corporation, board, or reputed commercial institution.
