We are seeking a Production Planning Executive to join our team in Badalgama.

Job Description:
As an Executive – Production Planning, you will oversee and optimize the production scheduling process, ensuring efficient utilization of resources while meeting customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, raw material availability, and plant capacity.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory to minimize delays and optimize stock levels.
  • Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and suggest process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and production targets.
  • Assist in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) to manage production planning and reporting.
  • Generate reports on production performance, efficiency, and adherence to schedules.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial), Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in production planning or a similar role in manufacturing (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP PP module preferred).
  • Strong Excel and project management software skills.
  • Knowledge in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Understanding of mass/energy balance, material flow, and capacity planning.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Experience in process manufacturing is a plus.
  • Willingness to collaborate with production teams and cross-functional departments.
