ASSISTANT MANAGER – INNOVATION (MAS NOYON – BIYAGAMA)
Since we started in 2004, Noyon Lanka is the only knitted lace manufacturer is South Asia that works with global brands to create lace fabric that’s unique, functional in the final garment and of the highest quality. Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Noyon – Innovation team as a Assistant Manager – Innovations to To effectively convert an idea into a process capable, technically viable and cost-effective fabric/lace in order to meet customer requirements/specifications and right first-time manufacture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy creation for an innovative product and technology elevation in the organization
- Lead/Guide the innovation process/projects and the innovation team
- Maintaining records related to projects and assist in obtaining technical validations/bulk interaction process
- Ensure all the innovations are evaluated and secured for intellectual property
- In the event of a new to the world idea/ innovation, ensure that the necessary steps are taken for copyright registration or patenting in order to protect the organisations intellectual property while also creating an environment of secrecy during the processÂ
- Conduct accurate analysis of fabric samples in order to decide how to produce technically viable products, commercially
- Review technical requirements with technicians to ensure process capability of all developmentsÂ
- Ensure developments are produced in a timely manner
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- BSc in Textile EngineeringÂ
- Minimum 5Â years experience in a manufacturing environment
