Executive Knitting – Linea Intimo Biyagama

Being in the business for over 17 years, MAS Active is a prestigious establishment in Sri Lanka focusing on Activewear, Athleisure, Performance wear and Men’s essentials. To manage the knitting operations effectively and efficiently ensuring required specifications / targets are achieved to meet customer requirements in terms of quality, quantity and delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor attendance of shift, build team culture and safe working environment and process related quality consciousness among associates
• Ensure dyeing PTP is achieved and formulating effective communication channels with other departments for continuous fabric flow to the sewing department for timely deliveries are secured
• Communicate the production plan to the technical team to ensure all the change overs are managed efficiently while maximizing the usage of floor locations by day to day problem solving and controlling the WIP.
• Aligning to the knitting plan by Allocating the diameter wise knitting machines based on the Plan and actual machine output.
• Make sure yarn availability and required quality while maintaining available storing capacity by monitoring bulk Ahead/Behind and reknits.
• Checking the delivery completion and returning yarns to make sure planned yarns are only available in the stock.
• Ensuring target recovered FTT is achieved and based on that strategically plan re-knit par with the fabric flow while minimizing the re-knit percentage
• Lead MOS initiatives while ensuring adherence to organizational standards such as: SOPs, compliance standards, health and safety and 6S to maintain a healthy working environment
• Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by the management

Skills and Knowledge:

Degree in Management/ Operational research/ Engineering, Physical science or an equivalent

1 – 2 years of relevant work experience

Deep knowledge in Microsoft office package (Macro in excel and etc)

Ability to handle and organize different data categories

Analytical and problem-solving skill
