MANAGER – DEPOSIT MOBILIZATION
RPP: CONSUMER LIABILITIES
You should ideally:
- possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services, with proven expertise in deposit mobilization and portfolio management
- hold a degree from a recognized university with a strong academic background in finance, economics, or business
- demonstrate in-depth product and portfolio management knowledge, combined with strong finance, marketing, and branding acumen
- exhibit the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make strategic decisions to optimize portfolio performance
- have a solid understanding of pricing strategies, Net Interest Margin (NIM) management, and P&L accountability for deposit products
- be proficient in lifecycle management of deposit products, including design, launch, enhancement, and sunset strategies
- possess knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, data modeling platforms, and the use of AI to support operational efficiency
- display strong public relations and stakeholder engagement skills to build and maintain positive relationships
- demonstrate language proficiency and negotiation skills to communicate effectively and achieve favorable outcomes
- have the ability to manage attrition and retention strategies to maintain portfolio stability
- work cohesively with broad internal stakeholders and support the branch network to deliver deposit targets
You will be mainly responsible for:
- driving deposit portfolio growth by achieving overall fixed deposit targets with the right mix, while optimizing NIM and profitability
- managing the product lifecycle – from conceptualization to enhancement – ensuring competitiveness through timely upgrades and feature additions
- developing pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and profitability objectives
- monitoring and managing attrition by implementing retention initiatives and customer engagement programs
- conducting product-based promotional campaigns and marketing deposit products to existing and new clients
- expanding market reach through branch-level marketing events and strategic partnerships
- cross-selling CASA and other liability products to maximize wallet share and deepen customer relationships
- analyzing market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
- ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies while maintaining operational excellence
- providing P&L oversight for deposit products and contributing to strategic planning for consumer liabilities
- collaborating with internal teams and the branch network to ensure seamless execution of deposit mobilization strategies
