You should ideally:
- Have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, repairs, or fleet management.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of diesel and petrol engines, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnostics.
- Demonstrate proven experience liaising with service providers, garages, and spare-parts suppliers.
- Show excellent negotiation skills to secure cost-effective procurement of vehicle parts and services.
- Be detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and documentation abilities.
- Have strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
You will be mainly responsible for:
- Coordinating and monitoring all vehicle repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Inspecting vehicles regularly to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Managing procurement requests, evaluating supplier quotations, and verifying the quality of purchased parts.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance schedules, repair history, and spare parts inventory.
- Monitoring fuel usage, mileage, and overall fleet performance to optimize efficiency.
- Preparing periodic reports on fleet status, maintenance costs, and operational issues for management review.
