🔬 Executive – Microbiology
This is a recruitment advertisement for an Executive – Microbiology position at Morison, a subsidiary of Hemas Holdings PLC and a Sri Lankan pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Job Profile Key Responsibilities
The role focuses on maintaining quality and regulatory compliance within the microbiology laboratory:
- Laboratory Processes: Maintain processes aligned with pharmacopeia standards and Quality Control aspects.
- Communication: Communicate Microbiology results to Production, R&D, Warehouse, QA, and other relevant departments.
- Analysis & Maintenance: Perform microbiology analysis, and handle equipment maintenance and verification (calibration).
- Monitoring & Documentation: Daily check of instruments, monitor microbiology methods, and prepare required SOPs, GTPs, and STPs. Maintain logbooks and records according to GLP guidelines.
- Validation: Perform instrument validation, qualification, and method validation.
Applicant Profile Key Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Education: BSc Degree or equivalent qualification related to Microbiology.
- Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in a similar capacity in the Pharmaceutical or Food Manufacturing industry.
- Advantage: Sound knowledge of Quality Management System functions is an added advantage.
- Skills: Strong organizing skills and computer literacy.
