Johnny Wactor Tragically Killed in Downtown Los Angeles Shooting

A young actor has passed. His name is Johnny Wactor. He was on a TV show, General Hospital. He tried to stop some robbers and got shot. His mom said he was shot while he tried to stop them from taking a car part. The police got a call about the shooting at 3:25 in the early morning.

They said three men tried to take a part from a car. One of them shot Johnny. Then they ran off. The police are still looking for them. No one has been caught. His agent also said that Johnny was a great person. He was not just a good actor. He was a model of hard work and never giving up.

He continued, “In the rollercoaster world of acting, Johnny always kept his chin up – it was practically a superpower. He was the kind of guy you’d want to be stranded on a desert island with, because he’d literally give you the shirt off his back. After a decade of sharing jokes and memories, he’s left a gaping hole in our hearts – one big enough to drive a truck through.”

The actor, hailing from the charming Charleston, S.C., had a career spanning over 15 years. He kicked off his Hollywood journey in 2007 with small roles on Army Wives. By 2013, he was on the short-lived supernatural drama Siberia, where he played a competitive bull rider from South Carolina, also named Johnny. Talk about typecasting!

Wactor’s career was like a buffet of TV appearances: Hollywood Girl, Criminal Minds, NCIS, The OA, Westworld, and even the 2016 movie USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, rubbing shoulders with Nicolas Cage and Tom Sizemore. Sadly, Tom Sizemore left us last year at 61.

Johnny’s big break came in 2020 when he stepped into the shoes of Brando Corbin on General Hospital, charming viewers over more than 160 episodes until 2022. Last year, he was on the comedy series Barbee Rehab, also starring Sizemore, and the movie Supercell with Alec Baldwin, Skeet Ulrich, and the late Anne Heche. Clearly, he had a knack for picking interesting projects.

As soon as news of his passing hit social media, tributes began pouring in like a deluge.

General Hospital actor Jon Lindstrom tweeted, “When the tears slow down, I’m literally sick to my stomach at this news. Johnny was one of those rare young men in this business who was kind, unassuming, humble, and always thought about other people. A talented young guy who just wanted to share that talent with the world.”

He added, “I wish I had enough love to fill the hole that his loved ones must feel right now, but I know that’s impossible. Johnny will be missed on this plane. For a long time to come. R.I.P.”
