LEGAL OFFICER

You should ideally;

• be below 45 years of age
• possess minimum of 3 to 4 years experience as a Attorney at law
• possess a bachelor’s degree in law and/or passed the Attorney-at-Law final examination
• possess a notarial license to practice in judicial zones in Colombo
• possess a sound knowledge on statutes and laws particularly in relation to banking and corporate law
• possess a sound knowledge on conveyancing
• possess a sound knowledge and experience in drafting all sorts of Agreements including Commercial Agreements
• preferably having worked in a law firm/bank /corporate handing Commercial Agreements have strong writing and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala

You will be responsible for;

• drafting, vetting and providing advice on all sorts of Banking Agreements, Terms and conditions, relevant legal documents and templates
• providing legal advice on banking /corporate /general legal matters
• registration of trademarks and providing periodic status updates
• attending to the company secretarial work of Bank subsidiaries
• clearing title and execution of lease agreements
• ensuring compliance with external regulations, internal systems and procedures
