EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF – LAVENDER HOUSE, PUSSALLAWA
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Lavender House, Pusellawa. As the Executive Sous Chef, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. Your responsibilities will include supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and contributing to the development of innovative and high-quality menus.
Responsibility,
· Ensure that the standards set by the group are met
- Provide direction and guidance to kitchen staff.
- Ensure that all kitchen and waiter staff adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations. (HACCP) Assist with planning menus, maintaining budgets and setting prices.
- Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation. Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to recipes and standards.
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies as needed. Minimize waste and control food costs.
Prerequisites.
- Diploma in culinary from a recognized hotel school. (will be an additional value)
- Possess at least two years of experience as a sous chef/ chef de cuisine in reputed hotel
- Be well versed in Sri Lankan and Western cuisine, with focus on presentation.
- Should be computer literate in MS Office packages.
- Knowledge of current food trends and industry best practices
- Possess good relationship and communication skills.
