Executive – Industrial Engineering (Based at Bodyline – Horana)
Bodyline is one of the largest exporters of apparel in Sri Lanka – renowned as the leader in producing fitted garments that provide superior next-to-skin performance wear. It is also the go-to vendor for bra innovations.
Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Bodyline team as an Executive – Industrial Engineering! This role would enable you to ensure continuous improvements are carried out through Lean initiatives/ industrial engineering principles and autonomation solutions in the manufacturing processes to increase productivity and maximize incentives of the assigned production modules.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Yamazumi based on the given plan in order to identify critical areas for improvement, suggest solutions.
- Carry out the activities in the critical path of the factory integration and quick changeover process.
- Ensure optimal utilization of the autonomation solutions whilst carrying out Kaizen activities to create maximize productivity.
- Liaise with technical training team and Group Leaders to ensure skill levels of the value stream is up to the required standards.
- Ensure measures are taken to validate the SMVs and consumption given to the manufacturing process are feasible.
- Conduct time, method and production studies in the allocated VSM and maintain appropriate records including videos.
- Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following, group/ company polices & procedures, best practices (where the group/company policies and procedures are not defined), relevant laws & regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Degree/Diploma in Technology/ Engineering/ Management.
- 2 years’ relevant work experience.
- Strong people management and communication skills.
